Now Hiring: School Bus Drivers – RSU 48

Make a direct impact on your community by helping our students arrive safely and ready to learn. Great Salt Bay School (RSU 48) is currently seeking dedicated individuals for two key roles:

• Sports Bus Driver: Transport student-athletes to and from games, matches, and extracurricular events. Perfect for drivers looking for afternoon, evening, or weekend trips.

• Substitute Regular Bus Route Driver: Cover morning and afternoon routes on a flexible, on-call schedule.

Pay & Qualifications

• Pay Rate: $22.86 – $32.97 per hour (depending on experience)

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with required endorsements:

  • P (Passenger)

  • S (School Bus)

  • Air Brake endorsement

• Must pass a required Drug Test

• CHRC (Criminal History Record Check) fingerprinting approval through the Maine Department of Education
